Indiana's sometimes-stepchild county gave Hillary Rodham Clinton a razor-thin victory early Wednesday.

Long delays in counting the votes in Lake County factored in the delay in declaring a winner in Tuesday's hotly contested primary, where Hillary Clinton posted a narrow victory over Barack Obama.

Experience trumped change as Linda Lawson beat out political newcomer Raymond L. Fletcher III in the Democratic primary for District 1 state representative.

Hillary Clinton supporters celebrated their candidate's lead in Indiana on Tuesday even though her race with Barack Obama got tighter as the night wore on.

Update: CNN finally calls Indiana for Hillary. 51 to 49% with 99% in. A win is a win, tonight is a split decision between NOrth Carolina and Indiana.
